Glenn Beck strikes back

Glenn Beck expanded his commentary from gold boosterism and apocalypse forecasting to film criticism this week. On his radio show, the pundit slammed George Lucas for making bad movies. “I want prison time for George Lucas,” Beck said. “Just for movie crimes.”

“Star Wars: Episode I,” re-released in 3-D last weekend, made Beck particularly red in the face. “You’ve changed this movie so many times,” he said. “Here’s an idea. Next version why don’t you replace it with good acting.”

Beck also urged Lucas to “go away” and said the Tuskegee Airmen should “just riddle his compound” for making a mess of their story in “Red Tails.”

He did, however, admit to liking “The Empire Strikes Back.”
