Edwards’ wife gets the last word … even from the grave

In case anyone needed more proof of John Edwards‘s indiscretionsa videotape that Elizabeth Edwards recorded before her death has surfaced via the National Enquirer, apparently containing her explainations of every last dirty detail of the former presidential candidate’s sordid relationship with mistress Rielle Hunter, which has landed him under the microscope of an investigation into whether he illegally used campaign funds to cover up the affair.

Because he cannot challenge the deceased Elizabeth over anything she says on the tape, Edwards can fight to keep the video out of court, according to the New York Post, but that doesn’t mean her say couldn’t still scorn the politician.

“Elizabeth wanted to exact final revenge against John for destroying their 33-year marriage and their family by cheating with Rielle,” the source for the Enquirer said. “She … spills all of John’s lies – many of which could be what sends him up the river.”
