Bernie Sanders called Donald Trump a “pathological liar,” Sunday in the Vermont senator’s sharpest jab so far at Trump.
“It really is rather extraordinary,” Sanders told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos. “I’ll say this straight-forwardly: I think you have a pathological liar there.”
“Much of what he says are lies, or gross distortions of reality,” Sanders continued.
Sanders abrubt attack on Trump appeared to come in reaction to Trump’s statements in an earlier interview with Stephanopoulos.
“A few moments ago, he accused me of lying,” Sanders said.
“Instead of having a rational discussion about how we rebuild the middle class. … What Trump is saying is, it’s all the Muslims’ fault, it’s all the Mexicans’ fault,” Sanders said.
