He also touched on his abrupt withdrawal from the GOP primary in August, admitting that his campaign had run out of money, and if he had he known what the race would become, he would have found the cash to carry on instead of dropping out after the Ames Iowa Straw Poll. “That’s a decision we made and it was the wrong call,” he said.
