No one ever said that the “C” in “Code Pink” stood for classy, or that it would ever miss an opportunity to stage a photo op. So it was, then, that the left-wing organization took to the White House on Wednesday in order to slam shoes against a fake President Bush as a way of showing its solidarity with an Iraqi journalist who threw his shoes at Bush on Sunday.
