Hillary Clinton’s campaign is poking fun at their candidate, showing footage of her failing to swipe through the New York City subway of the “error page” on their website.
When Clinton failed to successfully swipe through the NYC subway, not once but five times, last week during a planned appearance, social media laughed at her failures. Some said this showed how far removed Clinton is from the everyday life of New Yorkers. The former New York senator admitted this was her first time riding the subway in nearly two years.
“Trying to get where you want to go? This page isn’t it,” the error page reads below footage of Clinton repeatedly attempting to swipe through the subway turnstile.
This isn’t the first time that Clinton has riffed on her subway failures, though. The Democratic front-runner joked with New York City Mayor Bill deBlasio that he needed to “fix these Metro card slots” during a campaign event over the weekend. “Saturday Night Live” also got in on the joke, making fun of Clinton’s attempts during a skit last weekend.
