Hillary Clinton said Friday she would make a decision whether or not to run for the White House by New Year’s Day, a few weeks earlier in the process than her previous campaign.
The former secretary of state, who is speaking in Mexico for an annual charity event hosted by billionaire Carlos Slim, said she has a “unique vantage point” on the presidency, according to CNN reporter Dan Merica.
She also said that even if she decides by Jan. 1, she won’t necessarily declare her bid officially, Merica added.
Clinton announced her official bid for the 2008 presidency on Jan. 21, 2007, via her website: “I’m in and I’m in to win.” She eventually withdrew on June 7, 2008, and endorsed soon-to-be President Barack Obama.
