Pop star Miley Cyrus took to Instagram this week to air her grievances with Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump.
In the first post, published Monday, Cyrus chose a photo of Trump with the caption: “Donald Trump is a f–king nightmare!”
Her second post on Tuesday, before Super Tuesday’s voting contests began, featured a graphic of how many more delegates Trump had earned than his closest competitors, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, with the caption, “gonna vom / move out da country. #aintapartyindausaanymo.”
That hashtag is a reference to one of her most famous songs, 2009’s “Party in the USA.”
Earlier Wednesday, Cyrus posted a photo of herself crying next to one of a woman holding a dead mountain lion and another of that same woman with Trump.
“Yes. That is a tear rolling down my cheek dripping off the end of my nose,” she said, starting off a lengthy tirade. “This makes me so unbelievable scared and sad … Not only for our country but for animals that I love more than anything in this world … My heart is broken into a 100,000 pieces …. I think I may vomit …
“That picture on the right is so disturbing … YOU are not destiny!” she continued, finally digging into Trump. “It is not your job to decide when a living things life is over … & YOU DT ARE NOT GOD NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU THINK YOU ARE!!! (& if he doesn’t think he is ‘God’ he thinks he is the f–king chosen one or some s–t! We’re all just f–king jam between his rich ass toes! Honestly f–k this s–t I am moving if this is my president! I don’t say things I don’t mean! )”
Cyrus is a noted animal lover, and was named PETA’s “Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity” of 2015.
While Cyrus has not officially endorsed a presidential candidate, she has dedicated multiple Instagram posts to Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.
One featuring the Democratic presidential candidate and Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne.
The other shows Sanders marching in 1965 with Martin Luther King Jr. in Selma, Ala.
