A super PAC working to prevent the nomination of Donald Trump released a digital ad late Tuesday that claims to show how Democrats would attack Trump’s alleged racist beliefs should he become the GOP nominee.
Our Principles PAC created a video comprised of clips of the media and celebrities voicing concerns about Trump’s views of and relationship with African-Americans.
A former top aide to 2012 GOP nominee Mitt Romney, Katie Packer, launched Our Principles PAC in January with the sole purpose of helping American voters make an informed decision in November, according to the group.
But the veteran Republican strategist’s group has focused on tearing down the party front-runner, including through its new ad that goes after Trump’s history with blacks, but not any other candidates.
Packer previously declined to say whether her group was privately working with Romney, who recently has been adamant about Trump’s lack of qualifications to serve as president. The former Massachusetts governor, who Trump says is a member of the GOP establishment, has publicly criticized the Manhattan billionaire in recent weeks, laying into him harder than many of his critics.
The PAC has not said where the ad will air, but directed traffic from the YouTube clip to a separate website.
