Donald Trump has called on fellow Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz to drop out of the 2016 race if he can’t “settle” the issue over how his Canadian birth affects his eligibility to run for president.
The self-funded billionaire made the comment on Twitter Monday morning, almost immediately after former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who abandoned his own presidential bid in mid-September, endorsed Cruz for president.
It’s time for Ted Cruz to either settle his problem with the FACT that he was born in Canada and was a citizen of Canada, or get out of race

Trump has previously advised Cruz to seek a “declaratory judgment” from a federal judge about his presidential eligibility. Cruz has maintained that it’s already settled that he’s a U.S. citizen who’s eligible to become president, despite his birth in Canada.
