This week’s Weinergate scandal came to a new low Wednesday when Gawker.com released a full-frontal shot of what they say is Rep. Anthony Weiner‘s you-know-what. The image is a shot of Andrew Breitbart‘s cell phone, displaying the graphic image.
With this revelation, we turned to University of Virginia political scientist Larry Sabato to see if any other prominent politicians throughout history had been so exposed. Sabato told Yeas & Nays that if the photo was indeed of Weiner, he had made a political first.

“It looks like Anthony Weiner has made history, and not in a good way,” Sabato shared. “This is apparently the first time a congressman has been seen in this kind of ‘let-it-all-hang-out’ pose.”
That’s not to say the American public hasn’t seen their politicians in the buff.
Sen. Scott Brown posed nude in Cosmo years before making his debut on Capitol Hill. Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger posed nude for Cosmo, too, way before he was known for his governing and out-of-wedlock fathering. Former Sen. John Edwards is rumored to have shot a sex tape with mistress Rielle Hunter. Rep. Chris Lee‘s, R-N.Y., shirtless Craigslist pics forced him to resign from Congress.
And on a much tamer note, very fit Congressman Aaron Schock, R-Ill. bared his sculpted chest last month on the cover of Men’s Health magazine.
