Secretary of State John Kerry will travel to Brussels Friday to express condolences following Tuesday’s deadly terrorist attacks.
State Department spokesman John Kirby made the announcement of the trip Wednesday afternoon on Twitter, adding that Kerry would also meet with Belgian and European officials.

The United States, as well as other world leaders, denounced the terrorist attacks at the Brussels airport and metro station that left at least 31 dead and more than 200 injured. The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
Kerry is currently in Moscow for talks on Ukraine and Syria after accompanying President Obama to Cuba.
