When Donald Trump attacked the Amazon and Washington Post companies on Twitter earlier this week, Jeff Bezos responded to the presidential candidate’s criticism. Yet he saved the biggest payback for now.
It started on Monday when Trump published four tweets that bashed the D.C.-based newspaper’s coverage of the presidential election.
.@washingtonpost is going out of its way to tell failing candidates how to beat Donald Trump. The Post doesn’t get that I’m good at winning!

Despite Trump’s tweeting rampage, the Post’s owner, Bezos, only replied once. The Amazon CEO then used a recent update to Echo, the company’s voice-activated speaker component, to include a backwards invitation for the GOP front-runner to participate in the Blue Origin rocket’s space exploration trip.
Finally trashed by @realDonaldTrump. Will still reserve him a seat on the Blue Origin rocket. #sendDonaldtospace https://t.co/9OypFoxZk3

Ask Alexa – the Echo version of Apple iPhone’s Siri – to send Trump to space and she is programmed to reply, “I think Jeff Bezos reserved him a seat on his Blue Origin rocket.”
