The Ground Game: Ted Cruz’s colossal New Hampshire gamble

As polling in Iowa continues to show a tight race between Republican presidential candidates Ted Cruz and Donald Trump, Cruz has decided to devote a great deal of time in New Hampshire before the first nominating contest. Some observers say this is a fatal mistake, while others note it is a sign of the advantage he actually has over the billionaire businessman.

For the remainder of the GOP field, they have been trying to curry favor with influential lawmakers at New Hampshire’s State House. One Democratic lawmaker told the Washington Examiner‘s Gabby Morrongiello that there is one Republican candidate they could support in the first-in-the-nation primary.
