Sightings: Paul Simon dines with Thomas Friedman

Musician Paul Simon was spotted at the Bombay Club on Monday night having dinner with several others including Thomas L. Friedman, Pulitzer Prize winning columnist for the New York Times. We’re told that the two gentlemen were sporting blazers and shared a variety of appetizers and main courses including the anari shrimp, the aloo tikki ragda, the seekh kebab, the vegetable biryani and the lasooni palak. We’d love to have listened in to that conversation.

Also on Monday, U.S. Trade Rep. Ron Kirk was seen having dinner with the world’s richest man, Mexican telecom billionaire Carlos Slim, a USTR spokesman confirms. They went to BLT Steak, the same restaurant where Michelle Obama had her birthday dinner last month.
