The main super PAC supporting Marco Rubio reported raising $14.4 million the second half of 2015 in its FEC filing.
That means Conservative Solutions PAC raised more than $30 million last year, according to a statement from the group released Sunday.
Rubio has been targeted by rival campaigns and super PACs with negative ads in Iowa and New Hampshire, as both conservatives like Ted Cruz and more establishment-friendly candidates like Jeb Bush and Chris Christie have been competing with him for votes. The latest filing indicates Rubio’s supporters will have the ammunition to fire back.
The Florida senator has risen to third place in Iowa. The final Des Moines Register poll before Monday’s caucuses found him lagging behind Donald Trump and Ted Cruz but well ahead of all the other candidates in the race.
