Second Ebola case in Texas

A Texas health care worker in Dallas has tested positive for the Ebola virus, officials said Sunday.

The worker, who had been working in full protective gear at the hospital that was providing care for a Ebola patient who later died, is in stable condition.

The worker’s identity hasn’t been released.

The worker had worn a gown, gloves, mask and shield while providing care to Thomas Eric Duncan during his second visit to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, said Dr. Daniel Varga of the Texas Health Resource.

Duncan, the first person diagnosed with Ebola in the United States, died Wednesday in Dallas.
