Nelson Lewis is off the hook

Walter Nelson Lewis Jr., the former producer for the Laura Ingraham Show who was arrested in November after allegedly identifying himself as Rep. Jack Kingston, R-Ga., to U.S. Capitol police is making headlines again.

Lewis, also associated with posing as Bank of America CEO Ken Lewis, Rolling Stone freelancer Josh Eells or the Honorable Brent Symonettedeputy prime minister and minister of foreign affairs for the Bahamas, was let off the hook for his indiscretions.

Lewis could have spent up to six months in jail and a $5,000 fine for the unlawful possession of government insignia (a petty offense under federal law), but the U.S. attorney’s office dropped the charge on Tuesday.
