The “Jersey Shore” star filed two applications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to trademark the name DJ Pauly D. One application is for live performances, personal appearances and continuing performances, citing the first use as 2009.

The other is strictly for “entertainment in the nature of disc jockey services” and says the first use is 1996, according to both applications.
Pauly D’s co-stars Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino also filed applications with the Patent and Trademark Office to trademark their nicknames, TMZ reports.
