PHILADELPHIA – Talk show host Jerry Springer believes Hillary Clinton will be able to win over a large majority of Bernie Sanders’ supporters by November.
“Ninety-percent of them will vote for Hillary,” Springer told the Washington Examiner. “Some will make the decision today. Some it will take a month or two, but by the first week of November, 90 percent of the people who voted for Sanders will vote for Hillary.”
Springer said the delegates that were heard booing from the convention floor are not reflective of all Sanders’ supporters. He went on to contend that allowing Donald Trump to be elected president would be a betrayal of the values Bernie Sanders’ espoused.
The talk show host also pushed back on the idea that Sanders’ supporters perceive Hillary Clinton as crooked. Springer dismissed the idea saying that it is only a charge by Republicans and to “take it with a grain of salt.” When pressed further, he stated, “well, that’s what people like to say.”
