Comedian Roseanne Barr is running for president … no joke! On Thursday the Emmy and Golden Globe winner submitted paperwork for the Green Party’s nomination for president, which will be announced at their Baltimore convention in July. But this isn’t the first time Roseanne has talked about running the country. In Aug. 2011, she appeared on Jay Leno to announce her intentions to run, and she’s been spotted at Occupy Wall Street protests since then, saying she believes in “a return of the guillotine” for bankers and a “maximum wage of $100 million” for the super-rich. “The Democrats and Republicans have proven that they are servants — bought and paid for by the 1 percent — who are not doing what’s in the best interest of the American people,” Roseanne said, adding on her Green Party questionaire: “Mainstream media will be unable to ignore me, but more importantly they will be unable to overlook the needs of average Americans in the run-up to the 2012 election.”
