On Wednesday, Jordin Sparks came to learn that she should regard Arianna Huffington as an embarrassing Aunt Arianna. After Sparks spent time at the Opportunity Nation Summit in D.C. talking about one of her passions, protecting kids from child abuse, Huffington brought the “American Idol” winner’s mother on stage to find out more.
“Tell us something about Jordin when she was little and she was naughty,” Huffington began.
“Jordin was very precocious, she got into everything … I’d see her on top of the kitchen cabinets, she was always singing, she knew full-blown songs by the time she was 18-months-old, she was potty trained really early,” Sparks’ mom Jodi, ticked off for the crowd.
“How old was she when she had her first boyfriend?” Huffington continued. As her mom answered (she was 18) Sparks was blushing. “Wait what? What is happening?” Sparks said.
