Using data from the U.S. National Science Foundation, Forbes.com this week released a list of America’s top 20 Geekiest cities and, not surprisingly, both Washington and Bethesda made the cut. For the purposes of this list, “geeks” are defined as workers with a bachelor’s level of knowledge and also an education in science or an engineering-related field. “Geeks” can also be workers in occupations that require some degree of technical knowledge or training. San Jose, Calif., nabbed the top spot, while Fort Walton Beach, Fla. brought up the rear in the No. 20 spot. Here’s where the local communities came in:
No. 7: Washington, D.C.
No. 9: Bethesda
