Hillary Clinton released an ad calling the Benghazi Select Committee “partisan attack vehicle” to “damage Hillary Clinton’s political standing.”
Clinton claims that the Republicans have put so much time and effort attacking her because she’s “fighting for everything they oppose.” So far, the government has spent $4.5 million on the federal investigation.
“From affordable healthcare to equal pay, she’ll never stop fighting for you and the Republicans know it,” the ad claims.
The ad seizes on comments by House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy. “Everybody thought Hillary Clinton was unbeatable, right?” he said. “But we put together a Benghazi Special Committee. A select committee. What are her numbers today?”
McCarthy, a candidate for House speaker, has already replied to the Clinton ad.
The ad campaign, “Admit,” will begin airing on national cable television Tuesday and run through her Oct. 22 hearing in front of the Select Committee.
