As politicians were duking it out at Tuesday’s Republican primary debate – moderated by CNN’s Anderson Cooper — celebrities of all stripes were lighting up Twitter with their own reactions. “D-List”-diva Kathy Griffin tweeted,”Romney/Perry girl fight reminding me of a Bad Girls Club spring break,” responding later to a follower by writing, “I’m waiting 4 Perry 2 say ‘jive turkey.'” Actress Ellen Barkin was a lot less charitable, writing, “In this corner are 7 giant, gaping a–holes. Oh wait, a–holes have no corners.” She added later, “This is not a debate, if Coop is the moderator,whose the ref?” Justin and Eric Stangel, brothers and writers/producers on CBS’ “Late Show With David Letterman,” were comically critical of the candidates, too, with Justin writing, “Fun Fact: Newt forgot about the debate. He happened to be in Vegas for the whores” and “I’m all for erecting an electrified wall around Michele Bachmann. Who’s with me?” His brother Eric also chimed in, tweeting, “Rick Santorum always looks like he desperately needs a bathroom…”
