North Korea insults Obama: A ‘monkey in a tropical forest’

North Korea accused the United States of disrupting its Internet and called President Obama the “chief culprit” in the release of “The Interview,” the comedy film that depicts an assassination plot against North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

Media reports said the state news agency warned of “inescapable deadly blows” for Sony’s decision to release “The Interview.”

The company had pulled the film ahead of its Christmas release after a hacking incident and threats of violence at theaters that showed it. But Obama pressured Sony to release the film, and the company eventually reversed course.

“[Obama] always goes reckless in words and deeds like a monkey in a tropical forest,” North Korea’s state news agency said of Obama’s overtures to Sony.
