Uh-oh: ‘Goosebumps’ didn’t make Obama’s summer reading list

President Obama may have gotten a few glum faces Monday when making a surprise appearance at Viers Mill Elementary School in Montgomery County.

The reason? He conceded he hadn’t read any of the “Goosebumps” books, a favorite of some in the group. To show he did have kid clout, he talked Harry Potter.

“Malia and I read the Harry Potter books,” the president said. “We thought those were pretty good.”

He also mentioned he had recently seen “Where the Wild Things Are.”
