Poll: Clinton, Sanders deadlocked in Nevada

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders are deadlocked in Nevada with only eight days until the state’s caucuses, according to a new poll.

According to a poll released by the Washington Free Beacon, the two are tied with 45 percent among likely caucus-goers, with 9 percent saying they are undecided.

The poll was conducted Feb. 8-10, before and after Sanders’ 22-point win in New Hampshire on Tuesday, with respondents reportedly not moving to back Sanders following the win.

Notably, the former secretary of state continues to struggle in two categories: those measuring trust and honesty, and young women.

According to the poll, 53 percent believe Sanders is the more honest and trustworthy candidate, with only 29 percent arguing for Clinton. In addition, Clinton continues to trail Sanders with voters under 30 — especially women, with Sanders owning a 40-point margin over Clinton with the bloc. Clinton, however, wins with women overall by 7 percent.

Polling in Nevada has been sparse thus far, with only one poll having been conducted since December 2015. That showed Clinton up 23 percent over the Vermont socialist
