Sightings: Holyfield hosts pageant party at Morton’s

Morton’s the Steakhouse in downtown D.C. showed off its best on Thursday for the Washington Metropolitan Miss Chinese American Beauty Pageant’s VIP meet and greet.

Five-time heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield was the guest of honor at the $100-a-ticket event. A Yeas & Nays spy tells us 150 people packed the restaurant to support the 15 young women competing for the coveted DC Miss China beauty pageant crown. Boxing great Holyfield shook hands with guests and posed for pictures at the reception.

Also spotted dining at Morton’s Thursday night was Mitt Romney. The 2008 GOP presidential candidate enjoyed dinner with three others. No word on what they ate, but we bet it was steak.

And on Saturday, Washington Redsins Coach Mike Shanahan was spotted having brunch with his family at Peacock Cafe in Georgetown. A Yeas & Nays spy tells us he sipped on a nonalcoholic smoothie.
