Donald Trump took to Twitter Thursday to dole out insults, disguised as free advice, to his fellow White House contenders. But two of the Republican presidential front-runner’s tweets looked oddly familiar.
“I have an idea for @JebBush whose campaign is a disaster. Try using your last name and don’t be ashamed of it!” Trump tweeted around 11 a.m. ET.
The Washington Examiner soon noticed the tweet was identical to one posted by Trump in mid-December.

Within minutes, the bombastic billionaire shared another recycled insult.
“Weak & ineffective @JebBush is doing ads where he shows his statement in the debate but not my response. False advertising!” Trump wrote — a message he previously tweeted on Dec. 18.
A third tweet, posted around the same time Thursday and directed at Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, suggested that Cruz should seek “free legal advice on how to pre-empt the [Democrats]” on potential issues with his Canadian birth status.
“Go to court now & seek Declaratory Judgment — you will win!” Trump, who’s second behind Cruz in the Washington Examiner‘s presidential power rankings, instructed his Republican rival in an original tweet, unlike the others.
