Latina pop star Shakira met with administration officials early Monday to discuss her pet project –early childhood development — then bumped into President Obama at the White House for a quick hello, went on to meet World Bank Group President Robert B. Zoellick to start a $300 million early childhood development initiative, and then rolled up to the Hard Rock Cafe in two large black sport utility vehicles, about two hours late. Now that’s a diva.
And now she’s selling hipster bracelets and rocker tees at the cafe to benefit her Barefoot Foundation, an organization that helps displaced children from the Colombian conflict.
After her appearance (no questions please), she filmed a promotion for the debut.
