Ohio Gov. John Kasich hopes he’ll be back in contention for the Republican presidential nomination after receiving the endorsement of former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The action star became the first person to endorse a presidential candidate via Snapchat video.
“I want John Kasich to be the next nominee of the Republicans and also to be the next president of the United States,” the Hollywood actor-turned-politician said in a nine-second video Sunday afternoon.
At the end of the video, the phone turns to Kasich, sitting next to Schwarzenegger.
“Thank you, Arnold,” Kasich says. “Love you, man.”

Schwarzenegger joined Kasich on the campaign trail Sunday for a rally of the “Governators.” The Buckeye State primary is March 15 and Kasich has yet to win a state primary or caucus, but hopes to win his homestate.
