And though they may have just chowed down on pizza before they arrived, it calls the mind the many references to food throughout this fight — including Democratic Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, who tweeted that the deal was a “sugar-coated satan sandwich” on Monday — along with a host of other journalists who’ve compared it to junk food in recent weeks.
