Inside ‘Inside Edition’s’ night with the Salahis

Here’s a peek into that episode of “Inside Edition” featuring the Salahis.

Yeas & Nays learned that film crews for the show followed Tareq and Michaele Salahi around downtown Washington Wednesday night, from the Four Seasons, to near the White House (more about that later), to the newly opened Buddha Bar.

A source close to the filming said the Salahis’ night began at the Four Seasons. “Inside Edition” took footage of Michaele Salahi slipping into a cream-colored micro-mini flapper dress, while Tareq Salahi donned a suit. They shot the couple doing a champagne toast, and Michaele Salahi talking about how the November gate-crashing incident has affected her reputation.

“I feel I know who I am and that’s what helped sustain me and help me get through all the name calling: ‘fame whore’ and all that,” she told “Inside Edition.”

A limo then whisked the Salahis and their entourage of around 20 toward the White House so they could attend a private dinner at K Street Greek place Kellari Taverna.

That’s when there was trouble.

Secret Service pulled over the Salahis’ limousine for running a red light and trying to turn into a restricted area near the Ellipse, according to the Associated Press. Early stories reported that the Salahis were trying to — again — crash the president’s party, but sources say that’s just not so.

“Inside Edition was reporting on the Salahis as they were headed to a private dinner party,” show spokeswoman Donna Dees said. “The one they were invited to attend.”

After the private dinner at Kellari Taverni, the Salahis, their friends and the camera crew headed to the newly opened Buddha Bar D.C. where they noshed on the wagyu tenderloin with truffle wasabi butter and an assortment of sushi.

The Salahi episode of “Inside Edition” will air in Washington at 9 a.m. Friday. Scenes of the incident involving the Secret Service will not be shown in the segment, which only runs 1 minute and 22 seconds.
