Life was very hard Thursday for Sen. David Vitter.
The Republican Senator had planned to skip President Obama‘s jobs speech so that he could hightail it home to Louisiana to watch the New Orleans Saints play against reigning Super Bowl champs the Green Bay Packers. But then Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid scheduled votes before and after the speech, forcing Vitter to stay put in Washington.
Vitter called out Reid for the move on Twitter. “Reid ensured I’ll miss my Saints party at home,” Vitter wrote. “Don’t worry — only strengthen my Who Dat resolve. On 2 the Super Bowl!”
