In dueling appeals to the common voter, both President Obama and GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney will appear at the CMT Music Awards Wednesday night. Sadly, neither will be appearing live — both taped video segments in advance for the show’s opening act.
The country music channel plans to keep things non-partisan. CMT President Brian Philips told the AP that each man is “in on the joke.” We hope this means that both will be wearing cowboy hats.
