GQ’s Jeanne Marie Laskas spent days sparring with former CNN host Lou Dobbs and it paid off.
In May’s GQ, Dobbs reveals he is indeed contemplating a presidential bid.
“You’re considering it?” Laskas asked.
“I am,” Dobbs replied.
“You’re talking to Debi about it?” Laskas asked, referring to Dobbs’ wife.
“I am,” he answered.
Laskas portrays Dobbs as a “fixer-upper” who is much more nuanced than the CNN sound bites he’s known for would suggest.
“Hanging out with Lou Dobbs is like reluctantly going over to the nerdy smart kid’s house (because your mother made you) and he turns out to have the keys to an entire amusement park,” she wrote.
The issue hits newsstands April 20.
