The video was released Wednesday on the eve of the dinner, which presents awards to journalists for their work in the news industry.
Rep. Kevin McCarty, R-Calif, and Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., also read some of the messages to them from the Twitterverse.
The video is a play on “Jimmy Kimmel Live’s” “Mean Tweets” series in which people ranging from musicians to actors to even President Obama read mean tweets about themselves.
