Ebert gives Paul a thumbs up

He may not be winning any primaries, but Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul is getting rave reviews from at least one critic: Roger Ebert. After Thursday night’s debate in Florida, the film critic gave the Texas congressman a thumbs up on Twitter, writing “Ron Paul is the only one I’d want to sit next to on a long airplane flight.” But this isn’t the first time Ebert has praised Paul. On Jan. 3, he tweeted, “Leaving politics out of it, what sets Ron Paul aside from every other GOP candidate? He’s the only one who’s cool.” And in December, the famous critic wrote, “Ron Paul is the only GOP candidate who speaks directly and clearly without a lot of hot air and lip flap.”
