Mary Anne Huntsman, the daughter of former GOP presidential candidate Jon Huntsman, donned a Barbie-pink wig Thursday night and hosted a party for young professionals who donated to the charity Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
The Huntmans Kalorama townhouse — which was used to film the D.C. season of “Top Chef” — was filled with pink-clad party guests including Ambassador Nancy Brinker, the founder of Komen, Rep. Aaron Schock, R-Ill., who represents the district the late Susan G. Komen was from, and party co-host Ashley Taylor Bronczek, who also wore a pink hair piece. The former Utah governor’s wife, Mary Kaye, was also on hand, along with the couple’s two youngest daughters Gracie Mei and Asha Bharati and one of the family’s pups, Oliver, a Cavalier King Charles spaniel.
The Huntsman party was a kick-off for Komen’s annual affair, the Honoring the Promise Gala, which will take place Friday at the Kennedy Center and will feature a performance by Jordin Sparks.
