She said goodbye to her D.C. public schools gig, but is Michelle Rhee waving au revoir to Washington altogether? It would seem so from what she told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos (another ditcher of the District) on Thursday’s “Good Morning America.”
Stephanopoulos asked whether California, where her fiance — Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson — resides, is in the cards.
“Well that is his first choice for me to be out closer to California and obviously that would be great for me as well, but both of us are thinking about where I can have the most impact,” she said.
The two were to be married in Sacramento over Labor Day, but changed their plans. They e-mailed guests to tell them they had downsized the wedding, garnering criticism from some etiquette experts.
A new wedding date has not been announced.
