Big shakeups for the local news site TBD.
According to the Washington Post, WJLA, the Allbritton-owned D.C. ABC affiliate, will be taking over the operation.
While TBD.com will remain, WJLA will regain it’s own Web site and the Newschannel 8 name will return to replace the TBD TV station.
In addition to the restructuring, Bill Lord, WJLA’s general manager, will be at the helm of all of the media operations while Saul Carlin will run TBD.com and Erik Wemple will remain the site’s editor. TBD TV’s captain, Steve Chaggaris will be in charge of Newschannel 8.
