Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders said Sunday that his campaign will continue through the Democratic convention in July even if Hillary Clinton wins the number of delegates needed to lock down the nomination.
“We are gonna stay in this campaign to the convention in July,” Sanders said on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “Every state has the right to vote for the candidate of their choice.”
“I don’t wanna speculate as to what happens tomorrow or three weeks from now,” Sanders said. “We think we have momentum and we think we’re going to do just fine.”
