The House of Representatives has cancelled votes on Monday evening in anticipation for up to 30 inches of snow forecast to fall in the region between Saturday and Sunday.
The House was scheduled to be in session Monday afternoon, with votes set for 6:30.
But that’s been scuttled. Instead, the House will return on Tuesday.
The Senate was not scheduled to be in session on Monday and also returns to work on Tuesday.
The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning that ends Sunday morning but could produce significant snow. Washington D.C. is forecast to receive up to two feet.
