Tapper hopes you find love on the campaign trail

For all the reporters now officially covering the campaign trail, ABC News’ Jake Tapper has some advice for you. The veteran journalist put out a list of his 13 pieces of advice for young reporters including a bit about finding love. He writes as No. 5: “Keep your eyes peeled. I met my future wife at the Chequers Pub at the Hotel Fort Des Moines.” Tapper married Planned Parenthood’s Jennifer Brown back in September 2006. Before that, Tapper famously went on a date with White House intern Monica Lewinsky just weeks before the news broke that she had an affair with President Clinton. He wrote a piece about it for Washington City Paper. And so reporters stay date-able, Tapper also recommends laying off all that free food. His No. 9 rule, “Food that is plentiful and seemingly free does not = non-fattening.”
