DES MOINES – As the GOP field prepares to make its closing arguments to Iowa voters before the Feb. 1 caucus, many caucus goers remain undecided. For Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, the absence of Donald Trump could help him seal the deal with many of these voters that remain on-the-fence.
These voters will be keeping a keen eye on Thursday evening’s debate looking for the candidates to lay out their vision for foreign policy, immigration and who can present themself as the most personable candidate.
Some of the voters the Washington Examiner spoke with said they are inclined to support Trump but expressed some hesitation because he is a “wild card.”
“He’s just a wild card and I don’t know if he can sustain the excitement all the way until the general election,” Iowa voter Jane Shockemoehl said of Trump.
Watch and see what is weighing on voters minds as the clock is running out until the first votes of 2016 are cast.
