130 – The number of current congressional chiefs of staff and legislative directors who are former lobbyists, according to a new study released by Remapping Debate and the Center for Responsive Politics. Researchers also found that, before assuming their roles on the Hill, many of the staffers worked for trade organizations and corporations.
