Sightings: Caps hang at Maté, Brashear does Gin & Tonic

Just two nights after their heartbreaking loss in Game 7, the Caps hit the down on Friday night. A group of 18 players were spotted at Maté in Georgetown.

Then on Saturday night, it was Donald Brashear’s turn. The Caps’ enforcer, who was suspended for most of the playoffs, was at Gin & Tonic in Glover Park on Saturday night. Wearing a black shirt and jeans, he drank shots and vodka drinks, and spent about two hours dancing on the stage.

Also spotted: Rahm Emanuel and his wife, brunching at Tabard Inn Sunday after his commencement speech to George Washington students.

And jet-setting financier Sir R. Allen Stanford dining with a party of four Thursday night at the Capital Grille. Charged by the SEC with participating in a massive Ponzi scheme apparently hasn’t phased the billionaire — he was seen enjoying many bottles of nice wine, while surrounded by police from all over the country, in town for Police Week.
