D.C. media types rule Jeopardy’s Power Players week

This Saturday, “Jeopardy” will be filming a handful of celebrity-filled episodes in Washington. On Monday, the names of said “Power Players” were revealed and they are mainly D.C. media types.

Former White House press secretaries Robert Gibbs and Dana Perino, of Fox News Channel, will compete alongside NBC’s Chris Matthews, Kelly O’Donnell and Chuck Todd. Fox News Channel’s Chris Wallace will play, as will the Chicago Tribune’s Clarence Page and CNN’s Lizzie O’Leary and Anderson Cooper. Silver Spring native Lewis Black is among the non-political set, which also includes basketball player Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Dr. Mehmet Oz. Finally, the New York Times’ Thomas L. Friedman, the BBC’s Katty Kay and CNBC’s David Faber were on the list.

All of the money won will be given to charity. The episodes will be filmed in one day at D.A.R. Constitution Hall.
