Who is Jesse Jackson Jr.’s ‘social acquaintance?’

This time, the scandal involves Illinois Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. and Ozio Restaurant and Lounge hostess and former model Giovanna, also known as Giovana Huidobro. The Chicago Sun-Times reported that on two separate occasions, Chicago businessman Raghuveer Nayak paid to fly a “social acquaintance” from Washington, D.C., to Chicago to visit the son of the famous civil rights activist, and that the younger Jackson also asked for Nayak to pay millions to former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich in exchange for his Senate seat.

Jackson denied the fundraising allegations in a statement issued Tuesday and apologized if he disappointed supporters, saying,”the reference to a social acquaintance is a private and personal matter between me and my wife that was handled some time ago.”

So who is this social acquaintance?

According to the Web site CincoUno.com, Huidobro is a 34.6 – 22.8 – 35.4 model who has “participated in countless advertising campaigns for many companies in Peru.” A public records search lists her as a resident of Germantown, Md. Yeas & Nays called her to find out more, but she didn’t answer. We’ll keep trying.
